Who Are We

Curriculum Administration (C.A.) is responsible for the curriculum of the University, which is composed of the for-credit courses that the University offers and the officially recognized programs within which and for which those courses exist.  C.A. is responsible for maintaining the official “texts” that describe those programs and courses; this includes an inventory of current offerings as well as a comprehensive history of past ones.  We also manage the process by which these offerings change and how they are promulgated to internal and external audiences.

C.A. is governed by both internal and external policies: we serve as the administrative arm of the Curriculum Policy Review Board (University Policy 6-003) and the Special Fee Review Committee (University Policy 6-406), and we internally manage the processes relevant to Board of Regents’ policies, primarily R401, that govern the approval of new programs and degrees as well as changes to the existing ones (renaming, reorganizing, etc.).  We also interface more broadly with the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education (OCHE) – the administrative arm of the Board of Regents – to ensure that University understands and complies with OCHE’s curriculum policies and procedures.
