Course Content

When changing the content of a course, the department should ask this question to ensure that it is changed properly.

When a student takes this course with the changes, should it be considered repeatable with the course before the changes were made?

If yes, then proceed in filling out the form for Changing Exisiting Course.

If no, then it is considered a new course with the same number. First you should be filling out a new course form and inactivating the previous course. Also, review the page on reusing course numbers and its effects. We request that departments not reuse a course number for five or more years. For a list of used course numbers or any other questions on course content please contact the Curriculum Corrdinator at 587-7843.
