Proposal Approval Timelines
The timelines below are for new and substantial program and unit proposal approvals. It is recommended that all proposals reach the Undergraduate or Graduate Councils steps no later than their August/September meetings in order to be completed in time for the following Fall semester. This is a general timeline used for planning and is not a guarantee.
Limited program proposals will now be reviewed by the Undergraduate or Graduate Councils respectively. It is recommended that all program proposals are submitted by November to facilitate these reviews.

Note: NWCCU does not approve programs in October and April. Plan on a 4-week processing time outside of those months. Program proposals that include over 25% of courses that are new to the institution will require additional documentation and longer NWCCU processing times (up to 6 months). * These dates will prioritize prioritize new and significant program changes. Chances of meeting catalog deadlines may be diminished for the October dates. **May UGC meeting only as needed. |
